THE KATELYN MORALES FOUNDATION

SCHOLARSHIPS

The Katelyn Morales Foundation offers several scholarships in memory of Katelyn Morales. The Katelyn Morales Scholarship, The Howell Memorial Scholarship, and The Jersey Shore Boca Scholarship.

The Kate Morales Foundation is a nonprofit organization (EIN 99-350924) that funds families, research, as well as clinical trials specifically geared towards lymphoma and other aggressive childhood cancers.

KATELYN MORALES SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship was created by the family of Katelyn Morales to honor the life of this beloved Katelyn. In her memory, a scholarship will be awarded to an incoming high school freshman with financial need. This scholarship is for a student who embodies Katelyn’s zest for life, demonstrating an active and engaged presence in their school community. The applications will be reviewed by a committee to make a scholarship award determination.

HOWELL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Katelyn Antonia Morales, age 14, of Howell, NJ passed away on January 10th, 2024 after a courageous battle with lymphoma.

 

She recently graduated 8th grade from Howell Middle School South.

     

Katelyn was beautiful, kind, strong and selfless. She was a scholar student and a star athlete that excelled in soccer, track, and basketball.  Soccer was her passion, and she was a member of the nationally ranked BOCA O’Hara Soccer Team.  When she wasn’t playing soccer, she could be found at Manasquan beach and enjoyed catching a sunrise or a sunset. She loved nothing more than spending time with her countless, amazing friends.  She also loved vacationing with family, reading, Taylor Swift and the color pink.

 

 Purpose: To support a graduating senior from Howell High School who plans to pursue a medical field in their further education with a $1000.00 Scholarship.

 

 Eligibility Criteria:

Graduating senior from Howell High School.
Intention to study in the medical field.
Demonstrates a “love of life” similar to Katelyn.
Active involvement in school life.

 Application Requirements:

Essay explaining the applicant’s desire to pursue a medical career.

JERSEY SHORE BOCA MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
